Emma is a little girl. She is seven years old. She has a small white cat. The cat’s name is Snowy.
One sunny morning, Emma opens the door. Snowy runs out. Emma cannot find Snowy. She looks in the garden. She looks under the bed. She looks behind the sofa. But Snowy is not there.
Emma is very sad. She calls her mother, “Mom, Snowy is lost!”
Her mother says, “Don’t worry, Emma. Let’s look together.”
They go outside. They look near the big tree. They look behind the flowers. Suddenly, Emma hears a soft “meow”. It is coming from the old wooden box near the fence.
Emma opens the box. Snowy is inside! Snowy is sleeping on a soft blanket. Emma picks up Snowy and hugs her.
“I found you!” Emma says happily. Snowy purrs and closes her eyes. Emma learns an important lesson: never leave the door open again.
