Last Tuesday, Sarah was walking home from work when she noticed a small key lying on the pavement. She picked it up and looked around. The street was empty, and the rain was starting to fall.
“Someone must be looking for this,” she thought.
She decided to wait for a few minutes. While she was waiting, an old man came out of a nearby building. He was wearing a grey coat and seemed worried. He was searching his pockets frantically.
“Excuse me, sir,” Sarah said. “Are you looking for something?”
The old man looked at her with tired eyes. “Yes, I lost my house key. I can’t find it anywhere.”
Sarah smiled and showed him the key. “Is this yours?”
The man’s face lit up. “Oh, thank goodness! Yes, that’s my key! Thank you so much, young lady.”
“You’re welcome,” Sarah replied. “I’m happy I could help.”
The old man insisted on giving her a reward, but Sarah refused politely. She just asked him to be careful next time. They said goodbye, and Sarah continued walking home, feeling warm inside despite the cold rain.
