Ever since he was a child, Adam dreamed of becoming an astronaut. He would look at the stars every night and whisper, “One day, I will go to space.”
After years of hard work, Adam finally received the news he had been waiting for. The space agency called him and said, “Congratulations, Adam. You will join the first crew to Mars.”
Adam couldn’t believe it. He immediately called his mother. “Mom, I will travel to Mars next year!” His mother cried tears of pride and fear at the same time.
The next few months were intense. Adam trained every single day. He learned how to operate the spacecraft, how to fix problems, and how to live in zero gravity.
Finally, the big day arrived. As Adam was boarding the rocket, a reporter asked him, “What will you be doing when you first land on Mars?”
Adam smiled and said, “At that moment, I will be looking at the red sky for the first time. Then, I will take the first step. It will be the greatest moment of my life.”
The rocket launched successfully. During the seven-month journey, Adam often thought about his family. He knew they would be watching him from Earth.
When the spaceship finally landed on Mars, Adam opened the door and stepped out. He looked around at the vast red desert and whispered, “I made it. This is my dream, and it’s now real.”
Back on Earth, his mother looked at the TV screen and said, “He will be making history right now.” And she smiled.

أخيراً، جاء اليوم الكبير. بينما كان آدم يصعد إلى الصاروخ، سأله أحد المراسلين: “ماذا ستفعل عندما تهبط على المريخ لأول مرة؟”
ابتسم آدم وقال: “في تلك اللحظة، سأنظر إلى السماء الحمراء للمرة الأولى. ثم، سأخطو أول خطوة. ستكون أعظم لحظة في حياتي”.
انطلق الصاروخ بنجاح. خلال رحلة السبعة أشهر، كان آدم يفكر كثيراً في عائلته. كان يعلم أنهم سيكونون يشاهدونه من الأرض.
عندما هبطت المركبة أخيراً على سطح المريخ، فتح آدم الباب وخرج. نظر حوله إلى الصحراء الحمراء الشاسعة وهمس: “لقد فعلتها. هذا هو حلمي، وقد أصبح حقيقة الآن”.
و على الأرض، نظرت والدته إلى شاشة التلفاز وقالت: “إنه سيكون يصنع التاريخ الآن”. وابتسمت.
